Fascinating look at Mercer Island, from a Harvard team that combined (anonymized) Facebook data with other socioeconomic data to study economic mobility and inequality. Unsurprisingly, we score very high on upward mobility, but we score poorly on “cohesion” – lots of cliques that don’t associate with one another.
